Objective

We were approached with a draft design by our client to install 2 new car parks on these grassed areas in the living quarters of RAF Wittering. Our consultancy team took their requirements away and proposed an official design specification which included car park construction, drainage installation, lighting, Landscaping and Line Marking.

Outcome

Over the full 6 weeks, we excavated the existing car park and installed a new kerb perimeter indicating the shape of the car park. We then installed Hauraton linear drainage channels connecting the into a small attenuation unit, which then went to positive drainage nearby. Our landscaping team top soiled and seeded the perimeter of the car parks aswell as installing decorative stones outside residents rear access locations. We then laid 150mm of type 1 through our paving machine followed by AC 20 Binder & AC 10 Surface course asphalt. The car parks were then marked out including numbers which were allocated to the relevant houses. A fantastic project for us with a huge appreciation from out client.

This project really does showcase our capabilities in this sector.
