Objective
We were tasked to install a new storage area for our client at their yard in Kellington. As the UK’s leading Auction site for the Construction Industry, there is nothing this place doesn’t have. After a sit down with the owner, we agreed on the specification based on the usage of plant. As this was only used for light plant, we opted for 100mm of heavy Duty Asphalt over a 500mm sub base build up. After our clients Civils Team had finished their work, we mobilised…
Outcome
ADJ Surfacing laid 5996tns of recycled road planings supplied by on site loading shovels and moxy dumpers. We then laid 2990tns of AC 20 Heavy Duty Binder followed by 2430tns of All Slag Fines HRA Surface Course – supplied by Steelphalt. All this was laid in just 11 shifts with a biggest day being 1800tn of material.
