As specialists in the Retail Sector, ADJ Surfacing were called to site to survey the entire parking facility due a number of reports of major deterioration. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19), this car park has seen an increase in footfall with people flooding to the Tesco Store.
Major Road Resurfacing
4 Night Shifts
7500m2
Asphalt Surfacing
Line Marking
We were instructed to resurface 7500m2 which span across the entire site which includes removing the top 40mm and installing an new surface course and reinstating the line marking. Under the circumstances, it was critical to ensure the safety of both ADJ Staff and visiting customers. We provided a detailed project programme along with a highlighted phasing plan, ensuring our client had a transparent view of our operations. We split this huge area into four phases and fenced each section off with double clipped heras fencing – a key requirement set out by Tesco Maintenance.
Each phase was completed successfully and handed back to the client at the end of each shift. This ensured our client had the car park fully operational during the day when their store was at peak footfall. Aggregate Industries supplied SMA Superflex from the Bardon Hill Quarry.
