Objective
This access route that serves many retailers and a McDonalds Drive Thru was covered in numerous potholes and surface cracks. Following ADJ Surfacing’s proposal, we were instructed to resurface this area in its entirety to ensure this area is safe for pedestrians and also performs under the stress on constant traffic. We also removed 6 no. block paved crossing points and replaced with new asphalt.
Outcome
We carried these works out when the retail park was shut however, McDonalds operate 24/7. After meetings with our client, we gave them enough notice to allow them to arrange deliveries and staff around our works and they opened to pedestrian customers only. We agreed that we would allow them to re-open the drive thru upon completion ready for their breakfast window.
